This year at OpenText World, our team was excited to touch down in Nashville and learn more about the new OpenText enhancements, updates, and all things DevOps focused. The best part was definitely the conversations that sprouted at our booth whether that was with customers, OpenText staff or other partners. A lot of them wanted to know more about what we’re doing at VIP to make testing smarter and accelerated with AI. A special thank you if you were able to stop by. We’re already thrilled to head out to Orlando next year to continue the conversations and stay ahead of new innovations!
But let’s dive deep into the big news and things we learned at the event:
OpenText Shifts to An Integrated Platform
One of the key highlights at the event was new name changes across OpenText products that will allow for easier identification and a more simplified understanding.
The new branding revolves around three main categories:
- Aviator: This is the AI piece of the tools.
- Core: These are the core solutions that we all know.
- Thrust: This covers the APIs that help connect and integrate systems.
Although we’ve seen a few name changes over the years, these new groupings made it a lot easier to understand the product updates at the conference.
On top of that rebrand, the conference also highlighted how the OpenText DevOps platform is meant to be an integrated platform rather than another tool in your stack. Rather than having a multitude of tools, the DevOps platform is able to unify planning, quality, testing, and release governance under one single roof. This was showcased throughout their content and really stood out as a key benefit of the platform.
AI in the DevOps Platform
The talk of the town was truly AI. DevOps and OpenText World made it feel as if we’re entering a new chapter in testing. One that’s built on AI agents and fundamentally depends on trust and safety. There were many product demos of AI-guided test generation, the Aviator playground and more that highlighted their new AI capabilities.
Some of the key AI product highlights were:
- The Aviator studio was introduced for building agentic solutions with low code
- A “bring-your-own-model” philosophy so you’re not locked into a large vendor and have the flexibility to choose your own
- The ability to integrate custom solutions to build domain-specific agentic solutions
- An AI integration with on-prem DevOps solution coming next year
For those of us who live and breathe testing every day, it was impossible not to think:
“How do we utilize these AI tools, but with security and governance in mind?”
AI Trust and DevOps
The next large theme highlighted at the conference was about trust and AI. OpenText highlighted that with their AI tools it’s always best to “trust but verify” and a human touch is needed.
This led to a deeper conversation about how DevOps and testing professionals are at the helm of AI adoption across multiple platforms where many enterprises need guidance.
In a 2025 Columbia Journalism Research report, it was found that AI search engines gave incorrect answers to over 60% of queries tested. As organizations integrate AI-powered capabilities throughout their tech stacks, there’s a growing need for rigorous testing and validation. Two critical concerns are top-of-mind for organizations implementing new AI capabilities:
- AI Hallucinations: Instances where AI generates plausible but incorrect or nonsensical answers
- AI Prompt Injection Vulnerabilities: Malicious inputs that can manipulate the AI to behave incorrectly
While AI promises to accelerate business-critical systems, organizations cannot sacrifice reliability and security for speed. The consensus among attendees was that quality assurance and rigorous testing protocols is essential for successful AI adoption. This presents both a challenge and an opportunity as the market matures and enterprises seek partners who can help them navigate AI implementation safely and effectively.

VIP’s AI Quality Assurance Offering
This need for AI testing and validation represents a natural extension of VIP’s existing DevOps expertise. As organizations build and deploy AI-powered applications, they need trusted partners who can apply proven testing methodologies to validate AI reliability, detect hallucinations, and assess prompt injection vulnerabilities. VIP is positioned to offer specialized AI Quality Assurance services to ensure AI solutions meet enterprise standards for accuracy, security, and compliance, bridging a critical gap where traditional QA approaches fall short and organizations lack internal expertise.
Looking ahead
As we reflect on OpenText World 2025 and this past year, it’s clear that the DevOps landscape is evolving rapidly with AI at the center of that transformation. The conversations in Nashville reinforced that success in this new era won’t just be about adopting the latest AI-powered tools, but about implementing them responsibly with proper governance, testing, and validation. For partners like VIP, this represents an exciting opportunity to help organizations navigate this shift confidently.
