FOLSOM, Calif. – Visionary Integration Professionals (VIP), a leading provider of technology solutions, has partnered with Junior Achievement of Sacramento, Inc. (JA) for its eighth annual Cheers for Children fundraiser from 6-9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
All proceeds from the event will help fund JA’s financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship programs, which are delivered to students in grades K-12 by both corporate and community volunteers. This year’s event will be hosted at the private Granite Bay residence of VIP CEO Jonna Ward and her family.
“We pride ourselves on giving back to the communities that have supported VIP from the very beginning,” Ward said. “The Junior Achievement team shares this same commitment to community by investing their time and resources in the future entrepreneurs and business leaders of the Sacramento region. We are pleased to continue our support of such a deserving organization.”
More than 200 of the area’s most influential leaders are expected to attend this year’s event, which features a “Roaring Twenties” theme, and will be emceed by Paul Robins, local celebrity and morning news anchor for FOX40. Guests will be transported to an earlier place and time, as they enjoy delicious American-style food and cocktails, great entertainment, and an exciting live auction at this Gatsby-style party.
This will be the seventh consecutive year that Ward has hosted the Cheers for Children fundraiser at her home. Last year’s event netted more than $44, 000 for JA’s programs.
“It is the compassion from our volunteers, staff members, attendees, and partners like VIP that truly brings our mission to fruition,” said Susan Vicchio, president of Junior Achievement of Sacramento, Inc. “With this support, we are able to help prepare the most vulnerable youth in our community for successful adulthood. Our role is to inspire our young people and give them the tools they need to act on their dreams.”
